Congratulations are in order for Dwight Yoakam. The singer and wife Emily welcomed their first child together on August 16th.
“Like the lyric from the song Waterfall that Dwight wrote for Emily on his 3 Pears album says...Babies get born even in a... Pandemic lock down...,” reads a post on Dwight’s Instagram page, next to pics of the couple headed to the hospital. “With great joy and happiness Dwight & Emily announce the birth this past Sunday of their new baby boy. Dalton Loren Yoakam.”
Dwight revealed in May that he and Emily got married in March just prior to the coronavirus lockdown. The couple had been dating since 2010.
