The 23 Most-Banned Wedding Songs
"The Chicken Dance" tops a list of the most-banned wedding songs. It's nixed from 23.1% of receptions. "The Cha-Cha Slide" is the second-most banned, followed by "Macarena", "The Cupid Shuffle", and "YMCA".
We're still the middle of wedding season, and if you're not a "wedding person," you'll appreciate another look at this list of the 'Most-Banned Wedding Songs.' They're mostly the ones that have cheesy choreographed dances, which make receptions unbearable for non-wedding folks. However, if you ARE a "wedding person," (like me!) you'll probably be outraged, because these are the ones you most LOOK FORWARD to!
The people at FiveThirtyEight.com asked more than two dozen DJs, who'd worked hundreds of weddings, what songs couples most often banned. It's not scientific . . .
